CityStream: King Street Station
3/27/20086:55
King Street Station, on the edge of Pioneer Square, was quite a showplace when it opened back in 1906, a time when trains were the only way to get back and forth across the country. With the advent of auto travel, however, the old station fell on hard times. Today, rail ridership is popular once more and the City of Seattle has stepped in as the new owner of King Street Station to get things rolling again. Take a journey through the iconic buildings past, present and a soon-to-be-exciting future.
