CityStream: Alan Sugiyama
8/4/20166:44
Seattle civil rights leader Alan Sugiyama dedicated his life and career to social justice, first through his activism as student at Seattle Central College and UW, then as executive director of the Center for Career Alternatives and as the first Asian American to be on the Seattle School Board just to name a few. Throughout his life, Alan lent his fighting spirit to a number of causes. Diagnosed with cancer in 2014, Alan's health battle inspired the community, not only with his continued dedication to seek equal rights, but in his mission to heal and help others.
