Town Square is a Seattle Channel series dedicated to connecting people and ideas. With lectures, debates, and forums recorded around the city at places such as Town Hall, the Seattle Public Library, and the Central District Forum of Arts and Ideas, Town Square brings interesting and provocative conversations to cable TV and the web.
Workers from across various non-union service sectors hold a Labor Day roundtable discussion with U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal, Speaker of the Washington State House Frank Chopp, King County Councilperson Claudia Balducci, and Seattle City Councilperson Lisa Herbold to discuss their rights as workers to organize and the future of worker organizations, portable benefits, universal basic income, and 21st century unions.
