Former Seattle City Councilmember Nick Licata led a discussion based on his new book, Becoming a Citizen Activist. Three local activists respond by talking about their own experiences and why it's important for citizens to become engaged in the political process.

Panelists joining Licata are:
Mozart Guerrier, executive director of 21 Progress, a group who assists emerging leaders, especially young adults and immigrants, to build a more just society.
Pramila Jayapal, founder of One America, state senator, and Congressional candidate, talking about strategies that have worked in organizing her community.
Ben Lindsey, a community organizer in the Bernie Sanders campaign, on why he got involved and how he sees the future of activists after the November elections.
