Town Square
Civic discussions about townAbout Town Square
Town Square is a Seattle Channel series dedicated to connecting people and ideas. With lectures, debates, and forums recorded around the city at places such as Town Hall, the Seattle Public Library, and the Central District Forum of Arts and Ideas, Town Square brings interesting and provocative conversations to cable TV and the web.
The idea of "Connected Cities" began as a marketing push by technology companies, but has grown to encompass technology-based initiatives to improve the social welfare of our communities. MIT Enterprise Forum and Town Hall Seattle present a panel of experts to examine technologies that have succeeded in improving the quality of life in cities across the world. Exploring modern cities as laboratories for innovation, these experts discuss the advancements in technology that have the potential to improve our quality of life and contribute to the welfare of all citizens.
