Artist Edward Trobec, talks about how he discovered his passion for sculpting through a playdoh play-date with his 5-year old neighbor, Claire. We're featuring two bronze sculptures from artist, Edward Trobec:
"Rain"
Edward says that this piece was developed, in part, by listening to the sound of rain falling on the roof of his studio.
"Aspiration"
In this dynamic piece, Edward celebrates risk-taking and the exuberance of just being alive.

City Arts Magazine, a free arts magazine, is going monthly in Seattle, Tacoma, and the Eastside, with all sorts of fun regular features, including a cartoon strip from the phenomenally talented, Molly Norris.
The beloved Boat Street Café continues its delicious and fun communal dinner series with an "early summer foods" menu, sourced from local fishermen, farmers, and vintners, on Sunday, July 13th at 6:00 pm.
Natural photographer Steven Kazlowski, has a beautiful new book of photography, entitled, The Last Polar Bear: Facing the Truth of a Warming World. These thoughtful images will also be on exhibit at the UW's Burke Museum, from June 28th thru December 31st, with free admission on the first Thursday of each month.
GreenStage, Seattle's Shakespeare in the Park Company, celebrates it's 20th anniversary season with two of Shakespeare's greatest hits, Hamlet and Twelfth Night. These free productions run July 11th thru August 16th, at 7 beautiful Seattle parks.
Act Theatre's innovative "Central Heating Lab," presents PINKABOO, the closeted American songbook. This sure to entertain cabaret, starring Wade Madsen and Victor Janusz, with special guests each week, including El Vez, Kevin Kent, and Peggy Platt, runs June 20th thru July 13th, in Act's Bullitt Cabaret.
And finally, Seattle Art Museum's beautiful new exhibit, "Inspiring Impressionism: The Impressionists and the Art of the Past", opens June 19th and runs thru September 21st.
