Arts and Culture Videos

Teaching artist Daemond Arrindell explores the idea that nothing is ordinary and that there is beauty everywhere through a series of writing exercises and examples culminating in the creation of a poetic ode. This lesson is great for learners of all ages, particularly youth grades 6-12.

The Creative Advantage Online Arts video series is created by The Creative Advantage in collaboration with teaching artists and organizations on our Community Arts Partner Roster, Seattle Public Schools, and production partners NFFTY / The Talented Youth, NW Film Forum, and Reel Grrls Pro. The Creative Advantage is a city-wide initiative to establish equitable access to arts education for each and every public school student, made possible through a public-private partnership with Seattle Public Schools, the City of Seattle Office of Arts & Culture, the Seattle Foundation, and 100+ community arts partners and teaching artists.
