Renowned sculptor, Phil McCracken, has been creating beautiful sculpture for over a half a century, and is celebrating his 80th birthday with a show of brand new work at Sisko Gallery. Produced by John Forsen

This hot new theatre company boasts an incredible roster of actors, and plans to present plays that are, "fearless, heightened, sincere, dangerous, crass, erotic, ugly, and full of hope." Sounds good to us! Don't miss their first production, "The Adding Machine", which runs now thru December 13th at ACT Theatre.

DOWNSTAGE CENTER W/KURT BEATTIE
Our new series celebrates great Seattle actors. In this installment, you'll meet the incredibly talented Kurt Beattie, founding member of The Empty Space theatre, and current artistic director of ACT Theatre. Produced by Valerie Vozza

WE ARE GOLDEN W/SARAH RUDINOFF & GRETTA HARLEY
Seattle's two favorite divas, Sarah Rudinoff and Gretta Harley, have come together to create the soulful, rockin', soaring sounds of We Are Golden. Here's where to catch them live: Sunday, 11/23, 7:00 pm @ Rendevous Room. With opening acts, "Half Brothers" and "MistrE".

November 21st - 22nd
Christmas On Mars: A Fantastical Film Freakout has its Seattle debut November 21-22 at Northwest Film Forum. This 7-years in the making science fiction flick features the band members from The Flaming Lips, as well as original Flaming Lips music, and a movie set that was constructed in the backyard of Flaming Lips front man, Wayne Coyne.

November 19th - 24th
Cornish College of the Arts presents Our Town, the Pulitzer Prize winning play from Thornton Wilder. This poignant and classic story about the ephemeral nature of life, features the talented students of the Cornish Theatre department, and runs November 19th thru the 24th.

Until November 30th
Don't miss Signs of the Time, artist Susie Wind's terrific exhibit at Fountainhead Gallery on Queen Anne Hill, running now thru November 30th. This cool show of oil on canvas paintings, features beautifully rendered retro sign images of motels, taverns, drive-ins, and my personal favorite, wonderbread!

November 21st - January 17th If you're looking for a fun family activity, look no further than Seattle Children's Theatre production of "The Wizard of Oz". This classic tale of munchkins, witches, flying monkeys and ruby slippers, opens November 21st and runs thru January 17th.

Until December 27th
Twenty-five of Seattle's brightest artists have contributed pieces to Small Works 2008, a show of acrylics, oils, etchings, and mirrored glass, none of which is bigger than 12 inches. This charming showcase runs now thru December 27th, at Some Space, an artist run gallery in Pioneer Square. Please note, that in December, you can take the piece directly after buying, for a perfect and unique holiday gift!
