As the Seattle World’s Fair celebrates its 60th anniversary, learn how this massive civic event came about and who made it happen. In the 1950s the world was changing fast. The space race was on and Boeing led the way in jet travel. As a result, the fair’s theme focused on space, science, and the future. But back then, Seattle was a medium-sized city in the upper corner of the country. Planners had to get the word out! Hear from the man who traveled the U.S., selling the fair - and Seattle - to industrial America. As Feliks Banel reports, organizers knew they were doing something right when Elvis Presley showed up!
