The Seattle Office of Arts and Culture partners with SALT and the VOICES organization to present a special live performance of "Voices of a People's History of the United States" at City Hall. Local artists and creatives bring to life the stories of the rebels, dissenters, and visionaries whose efforts made the United States what it is today. These historical readings offer an opportunity to look back on the movements of ending slavery and Jim Crow laws, advancing women's rights and gay liberation, and creating unions and the eight-hour work day, in order to inspire further work in social justice.
