The recent gun buyback event collected 716 guns in less than four hours, and handed out $68,000 in gift cards. Former Mayor Mike McGinn, King County Executive Dow Constantine, Seattle-King County Public Health Director Dr. David Fleming, and Deputy Chief Nick Metz of the Seattle Police Department briefed members of the media on the results of the gun buyback operation.
