Mayor Ed Murray signs five measures recently passed by City Council. Mayor Murray will sign legislation enhancing street safety by reducing speed limits on residential streets and in Seattle's city-center. He will also sign bills and resolutions that:

  • Adopt the City's first-ever Freight Master Plan
  • Revises the City's Living Building program, which provides incentives for developers to increase sustainability in their building developments
  • Adopt the Drive Clean Initiative
  • Support the Green Pathways effort, which calls for more career opportunities for young people of color in Seattle's environmental fields. The Green Pathways resolution stems for the City's Equity and the Environment Agenda launched by Mayor Murray on Earth Day of this year.
