Objects of Pride: Missing and Finding Community Connections
Objects of Pride: Missing and Finding Community Connections

Stories bind communities together, revealing histories that lay the foundation for who we are, and where we are going. Within the LGBTQ+ community, experiences of belonging and exclusion are central to the search for connection, identity, and acknowledgment of basic human rights. Community members share their own stories through #ObjectsOfPride that inspire memories of their experiences. Objects of Pride: Sharing Your Stories is an online gathering open to all community members who identify as LGBTQ+, for sharing personal histories as they connect to objects. Objects of Pride and this talk are co-presented by King County Library System (KCLS) and Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI).

Speakers and Storytellers include:

Rachel Spence, MOHAI

Melissa Mather, King County Library System
