Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell, joined by Seattle Department of Transportation leaders, regional agency partners, and community advocates, announced the release of the Seattle Transportation Levy Renewal Proposal: Draft for Public Input. The draft proposal outlines critical investments to take care of the basics and deliver a safer, more reliable, and better-connected Seattle.

The current transportation levy expires this year, and the draft Levy Renewal Proposal provides a crucial step forward in advancing Mayor Harrell's vision for One Seattle that is affordable, equitable, and sustainable. The proposal will include major investments in safety, street repaving and improvement, bridge repair, pedestrian and bicyclist infrastructure, transit and freight corridors, new technology to keep people and goods moving efficiently, and more. The event also included information on how the community can provide input that will inform the final proposal that will be submitted to the Seattle City Council in May.
