The Alki Beach Bathhouse, which dates back to the 1920's, has been lovingly rebuilt into a community gathering place and art studio. Learn how activists are now raising money to recast, in bronze, Alki's replica of the Statue of Liberty, often a target of vandals. These three landmarks are all just several blocks apart and easily an afternoon walking tour. |

There's a new art project for the month of April 2006, on the Duwamish River called "The Living Barge." The relocated and salvaged native plants on the barge will later be planted at Cesar Chavez Park, where Former Mayor Greg Nickels' Clean and Green initiative is in action. Lowell's last stop is at Consejo, a counseling service available to the youth of South Seattle. |
