The La Quinta Apartments have been a fixture on Capitol Hill for nearly a century. Built in 1927 by developer Frederick Anhalt, the building's clay tile roof and large courtyard provide character and charm. But its primary appeal is a sense of community created by its U-shaped design. People come and go, but a feeling of togetherness never leaves. That special bond enabled residents to pursue the difficult challenge of seeking landmark status for La Quinta. And they did it! But as producer David Albright explains, they're not out of the woods yet.
