Curated by the great opera baritone Jorell Williams, this week's calendar features events happening throughout Black History Month. The "smARTfilms; Black Excellence" series screens at Bainbridge Island Museum of Art; "Iconic Black Women: Ain't I a Woman," paintings by Hiawatha D celebrating historical Black women, shows at the Northwest African American Art Museum; "188 Sullivan: Charlie Parker's New York in the '50s" lights up the Royal Room; and Jorell takes on the role of Dizzy Gillespie in "Charlie Parker's Yardbird" at Seattle Opera.
