Conceived as a celebration of the sister city relationship between Seattle and Chongqing, the Seattle Chinese Garden officially broke ground in 1999. 27 years later, this 4 1/2 acre oasis is one of the largest Chinese gardens outside of China, and the first in the United States to represent an authentic Sichuan landscape design.
