On December 7, voters in Seattle's District 3 will decide whether to recall Councilmember Kshama Sawant for breaking the law by using her elected position inappropriately and by undermining the mayor's safety. She is charged with using city resources to promote a "Tax Amazon" ballot initiative, admitting protestors into City Hall when it was closed due to COVID restrictions, and leading protestors to Mayor Jenny Durkan's house despite knowing the address was confidential because of her past role as a federal prosecutor. Both sides debate before the special election.
