Adversity affects people in different ways. For Troy Nebeker, it was the spark that inspired him to give back. When his wife was diagnosed with cancer - not once, but twice - he experienced firsthand the calamity it creates. As his wife recovered, he discovered a way to help others by doing what he loves. He put out a call; the paddling community responded and "The 24" was born. It's a 24-hour relay paddle to raise funds for those struggling to deal with a cancer diagnosis. Producer Ian Devier followed the event from start to finish, on the water and off, and shares this inspiring story.
