Mayor Jenny A. Durkan, Seattle Fire Chief Harold Scoggins, Seattle Fire Fighters Union, Local 27 Vice President Jeff Miller, and several Seattle City Councilmembers launch a second Health One unit into service. The expansion of the program will allow for the primary service area of Health One to extend to the University District and Ballard.

Health One is the Seattle Fire Department's Mobile Integrated Health response unit. It provides specialized outreach, transport, and referrals to callers experiencing non-emergency medical complaints, behavioral health crises, as well as frequent callers and those with social service needs. Health One partners with providers throughout the city who offer healthcare, behavioral health services, homeless services, and more. The goal of the Health One program is to reduce the impact of non-emergency calls on Seattle Fire's Operations Division and to better connect individuals in need with appropriate care and services.

Speakers include:

Mayor Jenny A. Durkan, City of Seattle

Chief Harold Scoggins, Seattle Fire

Jeff Miller, Seattle Fire Fighters Union, Local 27 Vice President

Jon Ehrenfeld, Seattle Fire Mobile Integrated Health Program Manager

Councilmember Alex Pedersen, City of Seattle
