CityStream: New Fred Hutch Addition Puts Patients First

Each year, 1.6 million Americans are diagnosed with cancer, according to the CDC. Those living in the Seattle area have access to some of the world’s finest treatments and research, including the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. Steve Lovell is alive today thanks to the care he received there for blood cancer. He showed his gratitude by volunteering hundreds of hours to help design a new state-of-the-art treatment facility at Fred Hutch. Steve and other cancer survivors were hands-on during the design of the new center. Their input will cut wait times and improve all aspects of a patient’s stay. Nicole Sanchez has more.
