The Refugee and Immigrant Family Center (RIFC) is a cherished West Seattle preschool and childcare facility. Recently, the building's landlord decided to sell. That news came as a shock to the 45 families and staff of the center, setting off a desperate search for help. It came thanks to a special anti-displacement program run by the city! A different city initiative is helping small businesses thrive. The "Only in Seattle" program will increase marketing efforts for shop owners in 17 Seattle neighborhoods.
