Maybe you’ve seen them darting around town, mini pickup trucks and vans, part of a wave of Japanese imports called, Kei trucks. These tiny, inexpensive vehicles have become a popular choice among small businesses needing to transport goods. Owners say they’re fun to drive, easy to maneuver in tight spots, and can still carry quite a load. Just don’t plan to take them on the freeway. Many Kei trucks have 600cc engines which are closer to motorcycles than regular half-ton pickups. Michael Crowe has more.
