Artist Gina Siciliano makes her graphic novel debut
1/10/20209:01
"I Know What I Am: The Life and Times of Artemisia Gentileschi," is a beautifully-realized graphic novel from cartoonist Gina Siciliano. Published by Fantagraphics Books, this biographical novel celebrates and recognizes a master painter from the 17th century who has not received the attention and accolades she deserves for the simple fact of being a woman in a man's world. Artemisia's most famous painting, "Judith and Holofernes," is part of Seattle Art Museum's current exhibit "Flesh and Blood."
