Community Videos
Teaching artist and poet Daemond Arrindell explores ideas surrounding imagery and imagination. The tutorial begins with a writing prompt that seems absurd, but can push our imaginations to new places, building cohesion, precision, word choice, and critical thinking. This lesson is great for learners of all ages, particularly youth grades 6-12.
The Creative Advantage Online Arts video series is created by The Creative Advantage in collaboration with teaching artists and organizations on our Community Arts Partner Roster, Seattle Public Schools, and production partners NFFTY / The Talented Youth, NW Film Forum, and Reel Grrls Pro. The Creative Advantage is a city-wide initiative to establish equitable access to arts education for each and every public school student, made possible through a public-private partnership with Seattle Public Schools, the City of Seattle Office of Arts & Culture, the Seattle Foundation, and 100+ community arts partners and teaching artists.
