Teaching artist and poet Daemond Arrindell leads a writing exercise that encourages the interruption of the narrative and lets our imaginations be influenced by details, so that we are able to see new truths and beauty for ourselves. This lesson is great for learners of all ages, particularly youth grades 6-12.
The Creative Advantage Online Arts video series is created by The Creative Advantage in collaboration with teaching artists and organizations on our Community Arts Partner Roster, Seattle Public Schools, and production partners NFFTY / The Talented Youth, NW Film Forum, and Reel Grrls Pro. The Creative Advantage is a city-wide initiative to establish equitable access to arts education for each and every public school student, made possible through a public-private partnership with Seattle Public Schools, the City of Seattle Office of Arts & Culture, the Seattle Foundation, and 100+ community arts partners and teaching artists.
