Explore your creativity alongside teaching artist Maria Valdovinos to create different styles of tissue paper flowers, learning about their use in culturally-specific traditions. Maria uses colorful tissue paper, popsicle sticks, scissors, and glue. Use these or alternative materials you have lying around at home, like newspaper! This lesson is great for learners of all ages, particularly youth grades 3-5.
