CityStream: Hanging on to History & Free Adaptive Bike Rentals
8/31/202126:04
For 72 years, Seattle's old INS building was a mandatory stop for thousands of immigrants. Later, the imposing structure would find new life as a haven for artists and artisans. Now, the building is for sale and the arts community is working to save it. As summer winds down there's still plenty of time to hop on a bike and enjoy the outdoors. For people with disabilities, finding the proper ride isn't easy. But the city is teaming up with an organization that offers free specialized bike rentals to those wishing to take a ride. Host Mona Lee Locke has these stories and more from the Museum of History & Industry.
