Located on a lower level of the Pike Place Market is a bookstore and publisher that has an eye for visual beauty and a heart for international and local stories. Chin Music Press, which takes its name from the baseball term, began as a publisher of translated tales from Japan but then branched out to publish local histories and artist retrospectives. With a high degree of attention to detail paid to create "literary objects," Chin Music Press is making books that are beautiful, both to look at and to read.
