New alert system for missing Indigenous persons passed by legislature

The research is heartbreaking - Seattle has the highest number of missing and murdered Indigenous women of any urban area in the country. Now state lawmakers have passed a bill to create the first Amber Alert type system for Indigenous people, to help raise public awareness of the crisis and to hopefully reunite families with their loved ones.
