City Inside/Out: Gas or green? Debate over natural gas heads to voters
9/13/202428:53
A debate over access to natural gas and propane is heating up quickly in Washington, as proponents of Initiative 2066 seek to roll back the state’s new climate-oriented law (HB1589) that would phase out natural gas in homes and businesses. I-2066 supporters call this a showdown over energy choice, but opponents say the state needs to stay the course and transition away from fossil fuels.
