The 1/23/2026 meeting of the Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners.

The Seattle Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners reviewed SPR's updated strategic plan and action plan for 2025-2028, which outlines service levels and project commitments across various park programs, and received a briefing on a proposed SPS-SPR athletic field project at Lower Woodland Park, which would impact 7-9 trees and require storage facilities.  Additionally, the board discussed scheduling challenges for subcommittee meetings and the need for better engagement of all commissioners.
