Framing Pictures: What’s the Excitement?
12/17/20151:25:12
Scarecrow Video hosts Framing Pictures, a monthly talk about movies with film critics Richard T. Jameson, Kathleen Murphy and Robert Horton. At the November event, they discuss two films about journalism - Spotlight and Truth. This leads into a discussion about what makes certain films exciting and inventive despite their flaws, and why some films that are supposed to be exciting, disappoint. The critics discuss this sense of excitement, or lack thereof, in Sicario, Bridge of Spies, The Martian, The Walk, and Bone Tomahawk, among others.
