Not long after a small group of middle school kids, on their way to play basketball, stopped to watch glass making at nearby Pratt Fine Arts Center, something very special happened. The boys, with behavioral disorders and learning disabilities, were invited to make glass beads and sculptures with Pratt instructor Stacy Frost. Despite their troubles in school, the kids excel in the glass studio, a place where they have developed confidence and self-respect.
