CityStream: Keeping the Monorail Moving
4/12/20223:03
The Monorail was one of the undisputed stars of the 1962 World’s Fair. More than 7 million people hopped aboard the shiny, streamlined cars for an exhilarating ride above the city. Sixty years later, the original Monorail isn’t as shiny, but it’s still in operation, shuttling people from downtown to Seattle Center, and back. And each day, the Monorail’s maintenance team is hard at work making sure the train continues to roll for years to come. Producer Randy Eng shows a side of the Monorail most people never see.
