Seattle Center’s longtime Director, Robert Nellams, rarely talks about himself and frames any success at Seattle Center with “we” comments. That’s just one reason Nellams is so highly regarded. And it’s why many of his colleagues are struggling with his decision to retire. But after 16 years leading the Seattle Center and 40 total years working for the city of Seattle, Nellams says it’s time to call it a career. Producers Randy Eng and Shannon Gee look back on the influences that shaped Nellams' life and how he used those experiences to build success.
