CityStream: Black Farmers Collective Reconnects People to the Land

High above I-5 in downtown Seattle, you’ll find folks farming a one-and-a-half-acre oasis they call YES Farm. The farm is home base for a dedicated group of individuals known as the Black Farmers Collective. Its mission? Encouraging the community to get their hands dirty and learn about sustainable urban farming. For the past six years the group has been growing food and getting it to people in need.
