Mayor Jenny A. Durkan, along with King County Executive Dow Constantine, announces the opening of The Estelle, affordable housing serving chronically homeless adults. In partnership with Harborview Medical Center, DESC's Estelle Supportive Housing will provide housing for 91 chronically homeless adults with disabilities and high service needs, many of whom experience serious mental illness and substance addiction. This innovative City and County partnership will provide healthcare to all residents in the building with onsite medical services provided by Harborview Medical Center.
