The Washington State eviction moratorium is due to expire on June 30, 2021, and in April the State Senate unsuccessfully attempted to block the house amendment to SB5160 mandating the moratorium's end. Now, thousands of households that are behind on rent are facing possible eviction on July 1. Five of the City of Seattle's commissions (Immigrant and Refugee Commission, Human Rights Commission, Disability Commission, Women's Commission, and LGBTQ+ Commission) host a Renters' Rights Forum to help renters understand their rights in preparation for the moratorium's expiration.
