Who can turn shared priorities into results for King County Council’s District 2? Former State Sen. Rebecca Saldaña and Port of Seattle Commissioner Toshiko Hasegawa bring different experience to the race for an open council seat. Saldaña emphasizes community-led housing development and alternatives to jail, while Hasegawa calls for housing near transit and stronger financial oversight. Both share their plans to address the cost of child care, bus service and accountability for homelessness spending. Host Brian Callanan asks how they would put their ideas into practice on City Inside/Out.
