Former Mayor Mike McGinn and Seattle Central President Paul Killpatrick joined Seattle Central Foundation Director Adam Nance to announce a bold new initiative to eliminate financial need as a barrier to paying tuition for anyone who wants to pursue a higher education in the city of Seattle. The program, entitled the Seattle Promise, will eventually pay the full tuition costs for every student at Seattle Central Community College who demonstrates financial need, enrolls full time and maintains a 3.0 GPA.
