Following September`s announcement of Be Super Safe, a Road Safety Action Plan for Seattle, Former Mayor Mike McGinn announces $800,000 in new funding for Safe Routes to School projects at Beacon Hill, McGilvra, and West Woodland elementary schools. The funding comes from the City`s Real Estate Excise Tax and is included in the mayor`s proposed 2013-2014 budget.
