Seattle has a global reputation for producing artists that transform the music industry. And while the local music scene is viewed as inclusive, some groups feel left out. Rather than complain, they cooked up a plan to create their own music festival, highlighting marginalized voices including a new wave of queer and BIPOC artists. The first-ever music and culture festival, known as “So Dreamy,” will feature many genres, like gunk pop, surfer punk, techno, and indie. The festival is June 4-5. Producer Randy Eng has more.
