The WA Cares Fund is under siege, with a vote this fall on whether workers can opt-out of the state’s new long-term care insurance program. I-2124 boosters call the fund “a scam” and say workers should have a choice, but opponents argue a yes vote will kill the fund at a time when it’s most needed for long-term care to be affordable to most people.
