1/21/20191:00
An estimated 5,000 people took part in the 37th annual Martin Luther King Jr. march through Seattle on Monday. This year's event drew attention to Initiative 1000, which would redefine affirmative action in Washington. Marchers also advocated for immigrant rights, women's rights, bringing an end to police violence and the environment. The route started at Seattle's Garfield High School and ended at Westlake Park in downtown.
