The Todd Shipyard is the subject of this film made in Seattle in 1943, during a critical time on the WWII homefront. While victory seemed within reach, industry still needed unprecedented numbers of dedicated laborers to supply Allied efforts on the battlefields of Europe and the Pacific. Thus, films such as Fighting Ships for Fighting Men were employed to recruit and inspire the domestic labor force.
