History in Motion: Seattle Pilots - The First Voyage
History in Motion: Seattle Pilots - The First Voyage
8/6/200717:35
The Seattle Pilots were Seattle's first major league baseball team back in 1969. After a single season playing at the old Sick`s Stadium, they pulled up stakes and became the Milwaukee Brewers. After the last pitch of the season but before the move was announced, Pilots' marketing guru Bill Sears produced this promotional film looking back at the first season (and at the community effort to get the Pilots here in the first place) as well as looking forward to the next year that was not to be.
