Mayor Murray signs Downtown and South Lake Union rezone legislation

Mayor Ed Murray signs legislation that will change zoning policy in the Downtown and South Lake Union neighborhoods and trigger the Housing Affordability and Livability Agenda's (HALA) Mandatory Housing Affordably (MHA) requirements. This new law will create thousands of affordable homes across Seattle. Additionally, Mayor Murray will unveil a similar proposal to build and fund affordable housing in the Chinatown-International District.
