Author Eric Liu envisions a civic revival in our nation, a country in which Americans are steeped in a sense of civic character and educated in the tools of civic power. Liu shares thoughts from his book "Become America: Civic Sermons on Love, Responsibility, and Democracy," which collects 19 of his civic sermons-reflections on democracy, liberty, equal justice, and civic life delivered at Civic Saturdays in Seattle and beyond. Eric examines the growing community need to gather face-to-face, reflect on what it means to be an active citizen, and answer the call to rehumanize our politics.
